St Joseph's offers a range of sporting opportunities to our students. We conduct our own school carnivals in swimming, cross country and athletics. As part of the Lakes Region talented sportspeople are offered opportunities to progress as far as state level through our representative pathway.

There are many opportunities to persue representative sporting pathways.  I encourage all parents to visit the website csnsw.sport for further information.

Development officers from a variety sports visit to expose our students to sporting opportunities available in our community. These visits often combine with opportunities to compete in local competitions on the weekend or after school. The visits provide students with a 'taste' of a wide range of sports and the basic skills involved in the competition.

Our weekly PE program incorporates professional coaches in gymnastics through Primarily Active, dancing through Dance Fever and Smash Programme run by local tennis coach Bill Griffiths and incorporate activities to promote fundamental movement skills and domain specific skills. We take great pride at St Joseph's in the balanced physical education programme that we offer.

Our school is part of the Good for Kids framework that encourages the use of  simple equipment and activities to keep students moving throughout the school day. Our spacious playground offers a huge oval for games like soccer and tag at lunch and there is play equipment in our shade area. Our students have a wide range of choices to keep active on the playground.
